–Nash HuseinUnderstanding Neck Pain
A stiff neck is tightness or restricted motion anywhere from the base of the skull to the top of the shoulders, most often from muscle tension tied to posture, stress, or sleep position — sometimes with pain or tightness that spreads into the shoulder or upper back. A car accident is a different kind of evaluation: if your neck pain started after a collision, Florida gives you 14 days for initial services and care under Florida PIP, with coverage depending on policy terms, and accident-related neck pain may involve whiplash or something structural in the cervical spine. Either way, an evaluation helps determine the likely source and appropriate next step.
Understand Neck Pain
The most common type — tension from posture, stress, or sleep position. Responds well to adjustment and soft-tissue work.
Narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck, often age-related — more common with age but can be aggravated by trauma.
Neck pain following a collision or sudden impact — often delayed in onset, sometimes accompanied by headaches or restricted motion that builds over the days after
A disc in the neck pressing on a nerve root, which can happen from the force of a collision — may cause pain radiating into the shoulder or arm.
Joint inflammation from impact or wear — a common source of persistent neck pain after a collision that doesn't resolve on its own.

How we treat

1 hr | Contact us 954-282-1801
Tension from posture, stress, or sleep position tends to build up as tight knots in the neck and shoulders. The Graston tool breaks up that muscle tightness — similar to a deep massage, but targeted to the specific spots holding tension.

Everyday stiffness often comes from small fixations in the neck's vertebrae — segments that aren't moving the way they should. Adjustments restore that motion, which is usually what turns a stiff neck into a fully mobile one again.

For selected neck-pain cases involving a disc or joint concern, controlled traction may reduce pressure between vertebrae. The evaluation determines whether it is appropriate.

For neck pain bad enough that turning your head to drive is uncomfortable, we bring the exam and treatment to you instead of asking you to make the trip.

Was this from an accident?
A sudden impact can strain the muscles and ligaments supporting the cervical spine, and symptoms may appear later. Florida PIP generally requires initial services and care within 14 days of a motor vehicle accident.

Frequently asked questions
Yes — the muscles and nerves in your neck connect directly into the shoulders and upper back, so referred pain and stiffness in that area is common with both acute and chronic neck pain.
